This hike takes off from the Ski Run Road; nice easy hike with some climbing involved. Like it!
In this shot and the next one, I'm trying to show you an ice phenomenon...that's hard to see. The rut filled with snow or water; froze; melted; froze; then, apparently, melted enough to let some moisture soak in while leaving the ice top of it still frozen, hanging out there in the air. Cool to me.
Old 'nurse' tree, almost used up. I just love how Mother Nature takes care of her stuff!

Hike's almost over. At this point, we're about 2 city blocks (or less) from a paved road, civilization, and some condos. Can't tell it from this, though.
