I came across this article from a site I use daily(refdesk). The site that posted the article is Lifehacker, one of my two favorite sources for checking all those ‘warnings’ that do come around to me.

My other favorite is Snopes. Snopes is great for email scams, etc.
I also use an anti-virus program called AVG that has proven to be excellent. We’ve used it for several years, now. There is a free version with a link you’ll find on the homepage under ‘Popular Links’.
We pay for a more powerful one that costs about $40/yr.But either is good. We used the free one for about 4 years.
